TECUMSEH TAE KWON DO SOCIETY
Post Secondary Education Scholarship

Amount of Program:
Up to Four (4) individual scholarships each in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) for each Academic Year

Annual Review:
The Board of Directors will make an assessment each year to determine if the Scholarship Program will be offered for the next Academic Year.

Criteria for Selection:
The Scholarship Program is available to any applicant who has enrolled in a post secondary education institute. The Tecumseh scholarship will be advertised on the Tecumseh website and in promotional brochures so that applicants outside of the Tecumseh martial arts program are aware of the scholarship. The Tecumseh Scholarship may be awarded more than once to a student as determined by the Board of Directors. In this regard, students will be permitted to re-apply for the scholarship if they have received the scholarship in a prior year. The Board of Directors will make its determination for award on the basis of:

student’s conduct in respect of courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance and indomitable spirit;tudent’s contribution to Tecumseh Tae Kwon Do;
student’s financial need; and
such other factors as the Board of Directors may consider.

Application Deadline:
July 1 each Academic Year

Application Matters:
Each applicant will be required to submit a statement describing the reasons why he or she should be entitled to the Tecumseh Scholarship. In addition, any member of Tecumseh Tae Kwon Do may nominate another member in good standing. Applicants shall be required to provide satisfactory evidence of enrollment.

Award of Scholarship:
The recipient will be determined by the Board of Directors.

All four of these individuals are fantastic ambassadors for Tecumseh Tae Kwon Do and each will receive $1,000 to assist them in the pursuit of their respective post secondary education programs.
